Dual Standby

Can we install WinXP after installing UBUNTU and configure dual booting?

I have installed Ubuntu successfully by formatting the existing HD. Can I install WinXP/Win98 as standby OS with dual booting? I will be glad to know how to install Yahoo Instant Messenger in Ubuntu.

Its actually easier usually to install Windows first and then install your linux distro, so you might consider starting over if you haven’t done much in UBUNTU yet. Just be sure to set a partition aside for linux to reside on. The Linux installer should give you the option to set up the computer for dual booting when it detects WinXP.

One more piece of advice, I recommend making a third partition using FAT32 if you hadn’t planned on doing it already. This will give you a place that you both Windows and Linux can read and write to.
