Will email on an unlocked sidekick work?

I just got service with Cingular and I was wondering if I will still be able to get email on an unlocked sidekick. Will all of the multimedia features on the phone and the features provided through Cingular still work like it should?

You would only be able to make and receive calls on it. The data servers are only accessible through T-Mobile.
